This car is our new stock 2010 MAZDA BONGO VAN. 1,800cc petrol engine and manual transmission. The car was used by a painter, so the interior is dirty, but the exterior is in good condition.
The Bongo van is a cab-over style one-box vehicle mainly for commercial vehicles. Previously, passenger-registered wagons were also sold, but now only vans and trucks are sold. In addition, rear wheel small diameter double tires were set for a long time in this class until they were abolished by a minor change in 2016.
The first generation was the best-selling small one-box van at the time, and its name was widely spread as a synonym for one-box cars. Before the name one-box car, which was once the name of the automobile style, was generally established, it was called "Bongo type car" or "Bongo car", and "What is the name of Bongo given by XX (company name)?" I was told. The middle-aged and older people in the Chugoku region are sometimes referred to as "bongo", which refers to one-box cars in general. Moreover, it is said that this event is not only in Japan but also in South Korea due to the influence of local production in Kia.
It was sold as the Mazda E series outside Japan, but is now a domestic exclusive model.
In 2020, Mazda will completely withdraw from the independent development and production of commercial vehicles. As a result, Bongo will also undergo a full model change in the form of switching to the above-mentioned OEM supply made in Indonesia.
