Hello, I'm Yuichiro Watabe, CEO of EVERY Co Ltd.
Today, I'd like to share the journey of EVERY Co Ltd from its founding. It has been 18 years since the company was established, and this website, EVERYCAR.jp, was launched 17 years ago. Although we've come a long way, I’ve rarely had the chance to talk about the history of EVERY. Now, I want to take this opportunity to share our story in a series of blog posts for our current and future partners.

1. The Beginning – 2006
EVERY Co Ltd was founded in 2006 in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture. I was born in Niigata City in 1982 and, after graduating from a university in Chiba Prefecture with a degree in business administration, I started the company in my hometown. However, the business wasn't initially about exporting used cars; we began as a web design company catering to local Japanese businesses. We offered website development services to local restaurants and retail stores in the small market of Niigata City.
2. Shifting to the Used Car Export Business
As we continued our sales activities, I heard about the growing market for exporting Japanese used cars through websites. Inspired by the idea of connecting Niigata with the world, I quickly decided to venture into the used car export business. I began by listing a few cars from local dealers on our website, and within an hour, I received an inquiry from Uganda in East Africa.
“They want that car.”
In that moment, I realized the immense potential this business held.
3. The Power of Web Technology and Trade
"By simply changing the language, I could do business with someone thousands of kilometers away."
It was a revelation—the power of web technology could transform international trade. Since the founding of EVERY, I’ve maximized the use of web technology to expand our market reach globally. Today, we've built a system that allows us to export Japanese used cars and products to over 100 countries worldwide.
4. Global Business and a Sustainable Future
We’ve strengthened our collaboration with local buyers across the globe through our unique Global Market System. By building mutually beneficial relationships, we continuously pursue a sustainable business model. Furthermore, we are committed to contributing to regional development worldwide, particularly in developing countries, by aligning our efforts with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
