MITSUBISHI FUSO BUS (AERO STAR / AERO MIDI) is a large fixed-route bus vehicle manufactured and sold by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus. This section also deals with Mitsubishi Fuso MP series, MR series, and B8 (route) series, which are the direct predecessors of Aero Star.

On May 23, 2000, engine-related improvements were made in accordance with the 1999 emission regulations. There is no change in the appearance, but the common rail fuel injection system and cooled EGR have been adopted, and the Allison automatic transmission (button type) has been newly set only for standard output vehicles. The engine is a 6M70 series (standard output (NA) 184 kW (250 PS) / 2200 rpm, turbocharged 6M70 (T1) 237 kW (320 PS) / 2200 rpm). In addition, the idling stop system has been standard equipment except for private two-step (continuing optional setting) [7]. However, as with the KC-MP747 series, high output cannot be selected for non-step buses, and only standard output vehicles are available.
