On January 28, 2021, Mazda announced the company's first mass-produced electric vehicle (EV) "MX-30 EV model." On the same day, sales started.
The MX-30 is a compact crossover that features simple styling and double doors. In Japan, a mild hybrid model was released in October 2020, and the EV model that was pre-sold in Europe will also be introduced.
The motor is a water-cooled AC synchronous motor that produces a maximum output of 107kW (about 145PS) / 4500-11,000rpm and a maximum torque of 270N ・ m (about 27.5kgf ・ m) / 0-3243rpm. Charging is compatible with normal charging up to a maximum input of 6.6kW and CHAdeMO standard quick charging.
