Mercedes-Benz Japan announced the new electric vehicle (EV) "EQA" on April 26, 2021, and started selling it on the same day.
The Mercedes-Benz EQA is an SUV type EV featuring an easy-to-manage body size (total length x total width x total height = 4465 x 1835 x 1625 mm). This is the second EV of the same brand after the D-segment SUV "EQC", and on April 2, 2021, pre-orders for the special edition "Edition 1", which is limited to 50 units, have started. The drive system is FWD, and the front wheels are driven by a motor with a maximum output of 190PS (140kW) and a maximum torque of 370N ・ m (37.7kgf ・ m) mounted on the front axle. It is said that it has smoothness that does not make you feel uncomfortable even if you switch from an engine car, and is quieter than existing EVs.
